Gem State Entertainment is offering tickets for the 2017 Great American Eclipse, Mackay Idaho Eclipse Campout. Talked about as one of the better places to view the 2017 Solar Eclipse, this event takes place in the path of totality on a private ranch in the Mackay Valley. First come, first serve; and your ticket guarantees a campsite. Space will be limited! Gates open August 17th @ 3:00pm and all attendees will need to vacate The Ranch by August 22nd @ 2:00pm.
What does a $335 ticket get you?
- Entry for your vehicle plus ALL PASSENGERS, for example;
- 2 passengers / $167.50 per person
- 3 passengers / $111.66 per person
- 4 passengers / $83.75 per person
- 5 passengers / $67 per person
- A 30ftx20ft Campsite;
-To set up as you see fit with all passengers in the vehicle
- Solar Eclipse Viewing Glasses;
-For all passengers in the vehicle
Again, the purchase of a ticket will secure a 30ft x 20ft campsite, 1 vehicle (which includes a towed trailer) and it's passengers (properly seated and in the vehicle, improperly seated people will be charged extra at time of entrance) as well as eclipse viewing glasses. Any single vehicle larger than 30ft will pay additional costs and will be parked in a designated area. There will be NO HOOKUPS for electricity, water and sewer (this is considered DRY camping).
Directions:: GPS to Mackay, ID. The entrance of the event is close to mile marker 123 on Highway 93. LOOK FOR SIGNS. Driving in the campsite areas will be kept to an absolute minimum. Gates will be open all hours, however, vehicles will not be allowed in the campsite areas after 10:00pm in respect to those already sleeping. You will be redirected to day parking until morning, at which point the campsite areas reopen at 7:00am. There will be an option to set up your campsite, then move your vehicle to the day parking area. This will allow you to come and go as you please! The surrounding areas are beautiful, and there is much to explore. Mountains are close by as well as the Mackay Reservoir. There will also be limited shuttles available if your vehicle needs to stay with your campsite.
Currently you can expect to have on-site; Live Music, Mobile Planetarium, Frisbee Golf, Port O Potties, Food, Vendors, all in a safe Family Friendly environment. Water will be for sale by Proud Source Water for the duration of the event. This is a 'PACK IT IN::PACK IT OUT' and 'NO PETS' event. Be prepared and ready for all the elements. If you need help, google "prepare for an outdoor camping weekend" and take the advice. The Big Lost River runs through the property, please note there will be NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Price is subject to change at any time. This event is rain or shine. There will be no refunds due to clouds or acts of god. Wristbands will be void if tampered with or removed. Ages 17 and under MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a legal guardian, additional RULES AT GATE. This ticket gets you and your vehicle load of people into the camping venue with the above mentioned 30x20 campsite guaranteed.
