After a year hiatus due to Covid closures "Cowboys & Indies" returns to Velour this weekend (Nov 19-20) with another all-star lineup of the best "Cowboy" (Roots-rock/Americana) and Indie bands in the scene! This show concept was created in 2006 by Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees, and myself (Corey Fox/Owner of Velour). At the time there were two prominent genres in the scene, and although many of the band members were friends, they didn't ever really play shows together because of the differences in musical styles. This show was created to mix genres and crowds and help build camaraderie and fanbases in the scene. 16 years later that goal is still the same!
