Create your own tea light candle holder in this introductory glass art workshop at West Elm! Local artist and educator Sarinda Jones will discuss fundamental concepts of glass fusing and slumping, as well as demonstrate the process for properly cutting glass. Students of all skill levels will then assemble glass pieces into functional sculptures in the color pattern of their choice. Sarinda will take the assembled glass objects back to her Salt Lake City studio for firing in her kiln, and the handmade candle holders will be ready for pickup with a tea light two weeks later. Please note that this class involves sharp glass, super glue and tools.
