Velour presents the 14th annual Cowboys & Indies! This event was created in 2006 by Velour owner Corey Fox and Neon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn. At the time of it's creation, the Provo music scene had two very dominant but separate genres... Roots-Rock/Americana bands and Indie Synth-Rock bands. This event was started to mesh those two genres, create camaraderie between bands, and to cross pollinate fanbases. Although there's a lot more of a gray area between genres in todays scene, the goal remains the same. Each all-star night will feature two bands of each genre alternating back and forth, creating amazing and diverse nights of music!
