Pain of Salvation is known far and wide as one of the most vital bands in the resurgence of progressive music. Boasting incredible musicianship, a wide variety of influences, and a darkly poetic approach. From their first album in 1997 until now, Pain of Salvation has a reputation for being unpredictable, outside the box, and willing to experiment with styles. Being led by Daniel Gildenlöw (who is the band's main songwriter, lyricist, guitarist, and vocalist) they are considered to be one of the leading bands in the progressive rock/metal genre. On stage the band is definitely one of the most exciting live-acts. Their latest album (from 2020) is called PANTHER and currently they are working on a new album to be released this year.
