Local artisan Rachel Erickson of Olive & Thread creates pins, buttons, and embroidery inspired by America’s landscapes. In this workshop at the 11th Annual Craft Lake City® DIY Festival®, Erickson will guide attendees through the basics of creating their very own embroidered keychain inspired by Joshua Tree National Park.

This workshop is held at the Utah State Fairpark during the 11th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival presented by Harmons. Note that if purchased in advance, your workshop ticket will include single-day entry to the DIY Festival for use on the day of your workshop. If your workshop ticket is purchased on-site at the DIY Festival, a separate admission ticket will be required for an additional fee. CRAFT LAKE CITY WORKSHOPS AT THE 11TH ANNUAL DIY FESTIVAL

The 11th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival presented by Harmons will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, August 11, 2019 from noon to 7 p.m.

For the third year, craft workshops will be offered on-site during the DIY Festival. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from top local makers and take home their own contemporary, handmade DIY projects. Pre-registration is required.

Note that if purchased in advance, your workshop ticket will include single-day entry to the DIY Festival for use on the day of your workshop. If your workshop ticket is purchased on-site at the DIY Festival, a separate admission ticket will be required for an additional fee.

Join us as we celebrate our 11th year and NEW location at the Utah State Fairpark! The Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is a three-day, local-centric event held the second weekend of every August. Visitors will enjoy viewing and interacting with over 250 Utah-based artisans and other local creatives, including Google Fiber STEM Building DIY engineers and tinkerers, craft foodies, vintage vendors, Kid Row youth makers and two different stages featuring local performers. Attendees can take a DIY artisan workshop, attend a STEM workshop and view free demonstrations. Kids will enjoy face painting, a bounce house and hands-on craft activities in the Kids’ Area sponsored by Mark Miller Subaru. VIP ticket holders will enjoy access to the air-conditioned Harmons VIP Lounge, where they will experience food prepared by Harmons’ chefs, craft cocktails, DIY Food stations, pairings and more!
