Rae Fitzgerald is a singer-songwriter based in Columbia, Missouri. After self-releasing her 2016 full-length album, Popular Songs for Wholesome Families, she focused on honing her recording and production skills while working as a freelance writer and talent buyer for True/False Film & Music Festival.
In September 2020, Fitzgerald released her EP, Lonely Listener, on Austin, TX-based label, Keeled Scales, a debut described as "an ethereal, wandering collection of six meditative and vulnerable songs."
Her first full-length album on Keeled Scales—Say I Look Happy—is slated for release in June 2023. It was recorded in collaboration with Lucas Oswald (Shearwater, Appleseed Cast, Jesca Hoop) and Chaz Prymek (Lake Mary, Fuubutsushi) and includes guest appearances by Lindsey Verrill and Jeff Johnston (Little Mazarn) and Thor Harris (Thor & Friends, Swans).
