The Drought is a band based out of Salt Lake City that plays a pseudo-depressive sonic concoction of classic rock, pop, and punk. These genres are uniquely influenced by a choral education and a love for jazz. Their original music spans the vast extents of emotion and is underpinned by lyrics that examine grief, anger, confusion, and insecurity. The carefully assembled songs maintain the spirit of live improvisation through instrumental expertise and emotional vocal performances.
