Teethe
On the new full-length album Magic Of The Sale, Teethe unveils their sad and beautiful self-built world of Southern slowcore, where the Texas band’s four distinct songwriters, singers, and artists ask a series of interlocked questions about what it means to build a life in a time of shared collapse. It’s an expansive next step for the band, whose 2020 self-titled debut morphed from a few early cassette runs into several sold-out vinyl editions, unlikely name-drops from mega-stars, and several tours across the United States and Europe. From a long-overlooked pocket of Texas’ musical wealth, Teethe re-emerges with a deeply layered and collaborative work that makes the weight of the world feel a little lighter to lug.
