Provo is known for a rich ska history, but never was it treated with such proficiency and roots oriented flare as with My Man Friday. Their music was born in October 1996 from the marriage of a traditional Jamaican rock-steady core and a jazz combo. The band has often been hailed as pioneers of their own unique style described as swing-ska. At the heart of the band's recognizable sound is a tight, hard-swinging horn section. Coming off a thrilling performance at last year’s Rooftop Concert Series, the band is making another appearance in Provo to celebrate the 20 Year Anniversary for their debut album, “Monkey Business”.

The band has shared the bill with many of the biggest names in the ska pantheon, including The Skatalites, The Aquabats, English Beat, Hepcat, The Slackers, and many more.
