Martian Cult is a 5 piece project based out of Salt Lake City, UT founded in 2016 by singer/songwriter Jared Asplund and keyboardist Derek Clark. The band has performed locally and nationally, played local residencies, and toured extensively around the west coast and midwestern United States. Supported by their musical cohorts and longtime friends and collaborators Greydon Benzmiller, Braden Tipton, and Hugo Molina, Martian Cult’s performances consist of energetic sets infusing jazz harmony, soaring melodies, and exciting percussion. They released their latest EP “Caught Me Laughing” in June of 2022 and are currently working on a full length LP from their home studio.
