Stateside is a hardcore-infused emo and pop-punk band from Southern California, formed in 2022 as a nostalgic side project blending 2000s emo influences with aggressive, melodic energy. The band originated when core members Lemus and Erik, who shared tastes in acts like The Starting Line, met while working warehouse jobs and decided to collaborate on music; they later recruited guitarist Dan Porcho following lineup changes that refined their sound.Their style draws from 2000s emo staples such as Fall Out Boy, Saves the Day, Brand New, and Taking Back Sunday, while incorporating hardcore elements inspired by bands like Title Fight and Anxious.

Emerging from the local hardcore scene, Stateside quickly gained traction with their self-recorded demo Bitter Spring in 2022, followed by the debut EP It's What We Do in July 2023, released via New Morality Zine and Extinction Burst Records; the EP features revved-up tracks with singalong hooks, backing screams, and production by Zach Tuch. In August 2024, they signed with Pure Noise Records. Their debut full-length album, Where You Found Me, was released on June 6, 2025, via the label, marking a progression to more polished, heartfelt pop-punk anthems
