Founded by Che Landikusic and Landon Langenbrunnen, Persona 749 began as a two-piece project. The band gradually expanded one member at a time eventually settling into a six-member lineup, all of whom lived together in Salt Lake City. The band's early performances at college parties and DIY venues helped them cultivate a strong cult following in Salt Lake. They released their debut single, Live Order, in 2021, followed by the EP Bad Translations in 2022. Following the EP, they embarked on an ambitious release schedule, dropping 15 singles in 15 weeks. This momentum led to Persona 749 performing at the 2024 Kilby Block Party. In late 2024, Che Landikusic (singer) and Michael Bloom (Gutarist) relocated to New England. In their new home, Landikusic and Bloom sought out a fresh cast of musicians to carry the project forward, allowing the concept of ‘persona’ to remain fluid and ever-evolving. This chapter led to the release of their debut full-length album JOCK ROCK in February 2025 and an East Coast/Midwest tour that spring. Today, Persona 749 consists of Che Landikusic, Landon Langenbrunner, Michael Bloom, Rino Ferrarese, Jeremy Muller, and Zoey Gosselin. The ensemble continues to embody its name: a project defined as much by transformation as by continuity, and are committed to exploring identity within contemporary music.
