Teenage Dads
Refusing to stay within the bounds of Australian indie, Melbourne based four-piece Teenage Dads, create melodies and rhythms that collide at the intersection of disparate worlds: early 2000s NYC indie, ‘80s New Wave and Synth Pop. These all blend with the explosiveness of more contemporary influences like Two Door Cinema Club and Phoenix to create a sound and style that is finding them fans across Australia, North America, England and Europe. Tracks including Hey Diego!, Speed Racer and the live show-stopping, Teddy, have all gained radio support in Australia via Triple J, with BBC Radio 1 jumping onboard to support, Speed racer. Their most recent single, I Like It features on international playlists including, New Music Friday, New Music Daily, Indie Brandneu, Indie Arrivals, Heaps Indie and many more. In 2023 a schedule of over 80 shows including across England, Europe, North America, and Canada have taken the band to an international audience. At home in Australia, their music and sell-out performances helped them earn a coveted ARIA Award for 2023 Breakthrough Artist, Rolling Stone magazine further endorsed the band naming them as Guaranteed To Go Global 2024. Teenage Dads live performances have an epic reputation with fans clamouring to experience the hectic energy which Jordan Finlay (vocals/multi -instrumentalist), Vincent Kinna (drums), Angus Christie (bass) and Connor McLaughlin (guitar) emit on stage. New music is continually in the works and Teenage Dads are looking toward the future with the aim of giving their fans more of what they want. Latest single Weaponz is due out in February 2024 on Chugg Music
