The Mad Chick Magnets are somewhat outcasts in the current punk-rock scene today, as it has evolved into a blend of grindcore and metal. When noticing this as a countrywide trend, Ace Stranger (vocals) wanted to take the sound back to its roots. To Ace's surprise, there were like-minded people when he moved to Salt Lake City to be with his girlfriend Rosey Lynx (bass). Starting in 2024, after lacking steady bandmates, they finally met their match. Beaux Garter (guitar) and Diamond (drums) heard about MCM through the grapevine and impressed Ace and Rosey with their talent.

Instead of 40 seconds of drop D tuning, growls, and blast beats, the Mad Chick Magnets bring out a more melodic side to punk with equally as much of a message as any other band. Catchy hooks on songs like Nodding Off, help these messages become memorable. Sometimes they dive into more relatable topics such as heartbreak, this can be heard on Allie In The Alley. Both are on their debut album Filthy Animal.
